Whereas I said I was gonna watch Hard Boiled the other night, I didn’t make it past the 15 minute mark.  Tonight however, I watched it on my lovely TV, and was reminded of how elegantly badass Woo was.  Of course it’s not revelation that Hard Boiled is bitchin ass kickery, it’s just been a while.

Also picked up City of Violence on an educated guess of quality.  I was surprised to find a pretty good story, some good characters, and a Warriors joke?  City of Violence walked a good line between serious story and “ok we’re here to make a fun action movie” without having a comic relief character.  Not all the action scenes were spectacular, but they were all definitely solid albeit a little cutty at times, and the motivation really sold it as things progressed.  Happy to own, and will definitely go back to.
